The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Chairman of the Government Commission for Missing Persons, Andin Hoti, members of the Assembly of Kosovo, the ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Kosovo, Qemal Minxhozi, and other institutional representatives of the central level of local, paid homage and laid wreaths of flowers at the cemeteries in Krushë e Madhe and Krushë e Vogël.
After the tributes, Prime Minister Kurti said that we remember and commemorate those who gave their lives, fought heroically for the liberation of Kosovo, for freedom, for independence and for our union, and added: “There and here in Krushë in the birthplace of Uncle (Baca) Ukë, of Professor Ukshin Hoti, to whom we owe so much, because his entire work is a work for our life and political effort, to live with dignity in our lands and with the state that serves us all as a Republic “.
“Here we bow down with a lot of longing, pain and sorrow, but at the same time with a lot of love, pride and admiration, that we had these men and women at the head with Ukshin Hoti, and we achieved the liberation of the country. At the same time, we also have the guide on how to move forward without stopping precisely because of their work, because of their lives, because of their fall with sacrifice and sacrifice”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
Furthermore, he said that, today as institutions of the Republic, of the state, with responsibility, and as a citizen of the Republic and of the state with awareness, we come together as the current generation of children and the future generations of children who have not yet been born , not to go through these sufferings and losses that we went through, but at the same time to have a bright future with a Kosovo, with a region, with a Europe that is free, united and protected by any aggression.
“From Kruša e Madhe, where we have so many graves and we don’t have Ukshin Hoti yet, we came to Krushë e Vogël, in this place that is a great testimony of the genocide of Serbia, since here 24 years ago the police and military forces of Serbia , surrounded the village and tried to exterminate all Albanians, killing not only all the men but also children, and this was their attempt to prevent our people from remaining in our country, part of their “Horseshoe” operation that had the genocide for headline of the Serbian project”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
Prime Minister Kurti said that with sorrow and pain we remember the loss and suffering, while he emphasized that at the same time with pride and responsibility we will keep them high in the priorities of our Government and our institutions, for justice and rehabilitation.
