In celebration of the 6th anniversary of the consecration and the 25th anniversary of the passing into eternity of Mother Teresa, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani visited the Home of the sisters of Mother Teresa in Peja.
Mother Teresa, with her immeasurable work, with her extraordinary sacrifice, with her incomparable love, did not ask for any recompense or reward. She became the mother of the whole world and increased our pride, as a people and as a nation, from whose womb she emerged, said Prime Minister Kurti.
He said that today we are commemorating Mother Teresa, not only for her sacrificial commitment not only for her humanitarian contribution, but at the same time as an ideal that should each of us follow, when we want to serve the people and the citizens.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Bishop Don Lush Gjergji and the sisters of Mother Teresa for the reception.
Today’s visit was within the “Days of Mother Teresa”, which are being organized by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. During these days, numerous educational and cultural activities have been held, which will be concluded tomorrow night, with the concert of the Kosovo Philharmonic, in Pristina, in the cathedral held by Mother Teresa.
