Prime Minister Kurti met with the vice president of the Greens in the European Parliament, MEP Alexandra Geese

The meeting with the group of Greens in the European Parliament was the turn of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti in Strasbourg, where he was received by the vice-president Alexandra Geese, accompanied by the rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Viola von Cramon and the German MEP Romeo Franz.

Kosovo’s path in the European integration processes was the main topic of the meeting. Vice President Geese reaffirmed that they support Kosovo’s application to the European Union and expressed her satisfaction that the visa liberalization process is finally moving towards the final stages.

The continuous support to the Government for internal reforms and the results and progress achieved, was not missing this time either. Prime Minister Kurti mentioned the approval of the Energy Strategy 2022-2031 and our objective of transition and advancement towards green and renewable energy, conforming to the agenda and goals of the European Union.

The meeting also discussed the dialogue process with Serbia, the European proposal for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and the expectations of the meeting in Ohrid, North Macedonia this Saturday. Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo remains a constructive, active and committed party according to the principles of democracy and the values of the European Union.

Next to Prime Minister Kurti in this meeting were the ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels, Agron Bajrami, the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti and the deputy of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, at the same time the Chairperson of the Commission for Environment, Food, Agriculture, Planning and Development, Fitore Pacolli.
