In Stuttgart, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the ambassador of Kosovo in Germany, Faruk Ajeti, also met the Secretary of State for Political Coordination and Europe of Baden-Württemberg, Florian Hassler.
They talked about the important role of the diaspora, the European integration of Kosovo and other issues of common interest.
Prime Minister Kurti informed Secretary Hassler about Kosovo’s application to the Council of Europe and the preparations being made for Kosovo’s application to the European Union. He added that the Republic of Kosovo also aims for NATO membership. Furthermore, Prime Minister Kurti underlined the plans and opportunities for investments in renewable energy sources and infrastructure projects, which the Government plans to implement.
Secretary Hassler thanked Prime Minister Kurti for the visit and congratulated him on his work so far, offering him full support in the further advancement of reforms. He expressed his willingness and interest in deepening cooperation between governments. As for the liberalization of visas, Secretary Hassler said that they support Kosovo in this process, assessing that Kosovo has met all the aforementioned criteria.
