Prime Minister Kurti met the representatives of the European Council of Investors

The further increase of cooperation for economic development in the country was the topic of today’s meeting of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, with the European Council of Investors (European Investors Council).

The reforms undertaken by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to improve the environment for investment and doing business in Kosovo, as well as to increase employment, were highlighted by Prime Minister Kurti. He emphasized that the World Justice Project has ranked the Republic of Kosovo in the first place in the Western Balkans for the rule of law and in the second place in the world for the greatest improvement in the rule of law. Emphasizing the unprecedented economic growth of Kosovo (10.7%), which is the highest in the region and the largest since the post-war Kosovo, as well as the GDP growth, the Prime Minister thanked the investors for the contribution made to this growth.

In this conversation, legislative reforms were singled out, as well as concrete solutions for attracting investments. In the joint meeting with the Executive Director of the European Investors Council (EIC), Emrush Ujkani and representatives of the EIC, it was emphasized that the open, constructive and sustainable dialogue between institutions and investors will contribute to the improvement of the investment environment in Kosovo and increase in foreign direct investment.

In the European Council of Investors, honorary members are the EU Office in Kosovo, the EBRD and the European Investment Bank (Luxembourg), as well as European enterprises and companies from the banking industry, telecommunications, insurance, automotive industry, plastic industry, auditing companies, the pharmaceutical industry, the energy industry, the textile industry and the transport industry.
