Prime Minister Kurti met the leaders of the Estonian Academy of Electronic Government and e-Estonia Briefing Centre

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the Estonian Academy for Electronic Government (eGA) where he met with the Executive Director, Hannes Astok and his team, as well as the e-Estonia Briefing Centre, where he was received by the General Manager, Ave Lauringson .

In the meeting with eGA, it was emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo appreciates the Estonian model of state building in many aspects, and especially in relation to the institutional capacities in public administration reform. The opportunity to benefit from the successful Estonian experience in digital governance was appreciated.

The cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo with the Estonian Academy for Electronic Government, in the development of the new e-Government strategy, which will serve as a guide for further digital transformation in the government, was appreciated.

The new e-Government strategy will cover all aspects of digital transformation, including strengthening coordination and policy-making capacities in e-government. In addition to promoting innovation in e-Government, this strategy also aims to develop digital competencies in government, provide reliable, user-centered and inclusive electronic services for citizens and businesses, as well as increase cyber security of government systems.

Estonia is a world leader in the field of e-government, therefore Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation with eGA for the transfer and implementation of the best digitization practices from Estonia in our country.
