Munich, 18 February, 2023
The meetings in Munich were continued by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, with the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol. They talked about the energy sector in Kosovo and the potential that our country has in the field of renewable energy. Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the Government’s plans for investments in renewable energy and for the National Energy Strategy 2022-2031.
Speaking about the developments in the country, the Prime Minister informed Mr. Birol about the work of the Government and the progress noted in the economic and democratic indicators, which is being proven by credible international reports. He emphasized the opportunities offered by Kosovo for foreign investors, as well as the measures taken to increase energy efficiency and maintain affordable prices for citizens.
The meeting also discussed the possibilities and possible forms of cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the International Energy Agency.
