Prime Minister Kurti meets with the new ambassador of Finland to Kosovo, Nissinen

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the new Ambassador of Finland to Kosovo, Matti Nissinen.

In this first meeting, Prime Minister Kurti congratulated Ambassador Nissinen on his new task and responsibility, offering at the same time the full cooperation of the Government in the further progress of bilateral relations between the two countries. Prime Minister Kurti informed him about the government’s achievements and the reforms that have been initiated, especially in the justice system. He also congratulated Ambassador Nissinen on Finland’s application to NATO and thanked him for Finland’s continuous support to Kosovo.

Thanking for the congratulations and welcome, Ambassador Nissinen emphasized the good relations and fruitful cooperation between Finland and Kosovo. He said that among the main goals during his mandate are the promotion of the business sector and the further deepening of bilateral cooperation. Ambassador Nissinen said that Finland supports Kosovo’s membership in the European Union and other integration processes.
