Prime Minister Kurti hosted the special representatives of Norway and Slovenia for the Western Balkans, Bjørnstad and Frangeš

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted the special representatives of Norway and Slovenia for the Western Balkans, Arne Bjørnstad and Anžej Frangeš, accompanied by the respective ambassadors in Kosovo, Jens Grøndahl and Minca Benedejčič.

Welcoming them, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude for the contribution of Norway and Slovenia to the advancement of the state of Kosovo. He appreciated the commitment and contribution of these two friendly countries of Kosovo and their envoys in the dialogue for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

Mutual cooperation, the European integration of the Republic of Kosovo and the Western Balkans as well as the common challenges of the European continent were matters of conversation.

Relations with Serbia were also discussed, for the next meeting on March 18 in Ohrid, where the implementation plan of the EU’s proposal for a basic agreement will be discussed, as well as the expectations from that meeting.

Emissaries Arne Bjørnstad and Anžej Frangeš offered their support and that of the countries they represent for the dialogue process and for the upcoming meeting in Ohrid. They emphasized the importance of this meeting as a unique opportunity for the advancement of relations between the two states towards the complete normalization of relations and the contribution it has to peace and security in the region.

They are staying in Kosovo on an official visit during which they will also meet other institutional and political representatives, including the opposition.
