In the meeting with the new ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Sabri Tunç Angili, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, expressed gratitude for the help and contribution given to Kosovo by the Turkish people and state, as a proven friend and partner of the people and the Republic of Kosovo.
On behalf of the Government of Kosovo, the Prime Minister expressed his deepest condolences to the ambassador for the victims of the earthquake that hit Turkey. He emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo is close to the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish people, and on the basis of its capacities, with the Kosovo Security Force, the Kosovo Police, the Emergency Management Agency and the medical teams, have helped in this difficult time.
The ambassador expressed gratitude for the hospitality in Kosovo. He expressed his deep gratitude for the help of the Republic of Kosovo given to Turkish institutions and people in the regions hit by the devastating earthquake.
In this meeting, they discussed the possibilities of further expansion of bilateral cooperation, especially in economy, security, defense and culture. Speaking about economic cooperation, the potential for increasing trade exchanges, improving the trade balance, as well as increasing investments from Turkish businesses was highlighted. They also discussed the strong cultural ties between Turkey and Kosovo and the possibilities for joint organization of cultural and artistic events.
