Prime Minister Kurti hosted the Ambassador of Portugal, Jorge Ayres Roza de Oliveira

The interest of both countries in intensifying bilateral cooperation in all fields was highlighted in today’s meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal for Kosovo, Jorge Ayres Roza de Oliveira.

Prime Minister Kurti expressed his deep gratitude to the Portuguese state and institutions, for the recognition and extraordinary support they have given to Kosovo for decades.
Emphasizing that both countries share the same European values, the Prime Minister appreciated the contribution made by Portugal in the progress of the goals of the Republic of Kosovo towards Euro-Atlantic integration, strengthening peace and stability in the region.

The ambassador emphasized the continuous support of Portugal also on the international stage, as one of the first countries that has officially supported Kosovo in its efforts for membership in the Council of Europe.

During the meeting, the early and continuous support to our people and state, especially in the field of security through the Portuguese troops within KFOR, was appreciated. Mentioning the country’s positive economic and democratic indicators, as well as the opportunities that Kosovo offers to foreign investors, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the potential for increased economic cooperation and trade exchanges.
