The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the First Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, hosted in a meeting the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the United States for European and Eurasian Affairs and at the same time the special envoy of the United States of America for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar and the Special Representative of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák.
The Republic of Kosovo has shown its willingness and commitment to engage in a principled and well-prepared dialogue towards an agreement centred on mutual recognition. While the agreement should be centred on mutual recognition, reciprocity should be the spirit of dialogue until the agreement is reached.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Mr. Escobar and Mr. Lajčák for their commitment in avoiding tensions artificially created by Serbia and in the comprehensively normalizing the relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia.
