The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, hosted the delegation of the “Albanian Engineers of Switzerland” association, led by the chairman of this association, Rexhep Gashi.
Mr. Gashi said that the 70 members, as engineers covering various industries, are ready to help in the economic development of Kosovo.
Thanking for the visit and for the readiness, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized, among other things, the importance of dual education, based on the Swiss model, and the commitment of the Government to establish the Sovereign Fund and to strengthen public enterprises.
During the day, the Albanian Engineers of Switzerland signed a memorandum of understanding with the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, to cooperate in the fields of dual education, renewable energy, waste management, railways and the development of Trepça.
The compatriots’ delegation also listened to the presentations of the Trepça, Infrakos and Trainkos companies in order to familiarize themselves with the concrete projects that are expected to be realized.
“Albanian Engineers of Switzerland” is the first professional organization of our diaspora in that country.
