Prishtina, 8 May 2013

The meeting held today between the delegation of the Republic of Kosovo and delegation of Serbia has been concluded without an agreement.

“The delegation of the Republic of Kosovo has presented the readiness to reach to an implementation plan which would clarify concrete actions of domestic and international institutions that would halt the actions of the illegal security and justice structures; enable preparations for building up institutional structures according to the laws of Kosovo so that local elections to be held by the end of this year may take place in all of Kosovo” stated Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuçi and added that “the Kosovar side has expressed its readiness to implement commitments stemming from the agreement”.

On the other hand, the Serbian side was positioned to discuss about topics outside of the agreements or to interpret the content of the agreement in a different way.

The delegation of the Republic of Kosovo has introduced the idea that this plan be discussed at the next meeting between the two prime ministers and Baroness Ashton.

The delegation of the Republic of Kosovo expresses gratitude for the involvement of representatives of the EU and expects in the future to continue working on the implementation of the agreement reached.
