First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, visited the municipalities of Gjilan and Kamenica yesterday and today.
In these meetings, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Hysen Durmishi and the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi.
Together with Mr Durmishi, yesterday, the works for the construction of the Gjilan-Prishtina highway were inspected, where the necessity of increasing the intensity of the works was emphasized.
“As the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, we take care of the supervision of the progress of this project, so that it continues with full implementation and there are no further delays”, said Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi continued today’s meetings in Gjilan with the Mayor of the Municipality, Alban Hyseni and in Kamenica with the Mayor of the Municipality, Kadri Rahimaj. In these meetings, together with the Minister of the Ministry of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, it was discussed about the implementation of the governing plans by the municipalities, with a special focus on the implementation phases of the planned projects and progress in general lines of work. The potential opportunities for support by the Government of new projects, ideas and initiatives or those under implementation were also examined.
The lack of investments and attention from the central level earlier to the Anamorava area has brought the need for increased investments, especially infrastructural ones, where the support of the Government will not be missing.
