The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the head of the mission of Luxembourg in Kosovo, Eric Dietz.
The meeting discussed the increase in the intensity of bilateral cooperation between our two countries, as a continuation after the signing in July of the Bilateral Agreement on Development Cooperation and the Memorandum of Understanding. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi said that he highly appreciates Luxembourg’s support in areas such as education, health, innovation and information technology. Kosovo’s achievements such as double-digit economic growth, advancement by 17 positions in Transparency International were mentioned as some of the indicators that quality democracy goes together with economic development.
Mr. Dietz expressed his satisfaction that he is in Kosovo, in a country with lifelong friendship with Luxembourg. He said that he is impressed with the potential of Kosovo, the skills, the young average age of the population, the many opportunities for investment and cooperation under a common vision. Mr. Dietz reaffirmed Luxembourg’s support for Kosovo’s European perspective.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked Mr. Dietz for the visit, continuous support and fruitful collaboration.
