Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi met with Simon Mordue, Chief Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of the European Council

The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, met in Brussels with Mr. Simon Mordue, Main Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.

In this meeting, the advisor to the President, Charles Michel, was informed about Kosovo’s decision to apply for membership in the European Union. Kosovo is already in the sixth year of implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement.

The time has come for relations and partnership with the European Union to go one step further. Kosovo has marked significant progress in key areas in coordinating and aligning standards with those of the EU, such as the rule of law, the fight against organized crime and corruption, economic development and democratization. This progress, also reaffirmed by the 2022 Country Report of the European Commission.

Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked Mr. Mordue for the fruitful meeting and conversation.
