The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue, of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the representatives of the IMF Mission, led by Mr. Gabriel Di Bella.
During the meeting, it was discussed about the work and analyzes of the mission in relation to Kosovo, as well as the cooperation and support of the IMF to the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
The mission positively evaluated the Government’s approach and strategies in dealing with multiple crises, formalizing the activities of the economy and creating a vision for the prosperous future of the country. Expression and willingness to help with further technical assistance and finding other forms of deepening cooperation. Even in the latest IMF report, Kosovo was evaluated positively, with the best growth and performance among the countries of the Western Balkans.
The parties also discussed the lack of stability in the international energy market and its effects in Europe and the region, which have also been felt in Kosovo. The government has taken effective measures to ease the burden of the energy crisis and its effects on citizens.
Thanking and appreciating them for their cooperation through their projects and support, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that he welcomes further support from the International Monetary Fund to overcome the common challenges faced by Kosovo, the region and Europe.
