The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted representatives from the Kosovo Disability Forum.
The members of the Forum expressed their requests regarding the needs of persons with disabilities, among which was the approval of the comprehensive draft law for this community as soon as possible.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed full support and readiness to address the requests of this community. This political will also exists at the level of the Government, by which the year 2022 was declared the year of persons with disabilities. Of course, the work is not completed by 2022, the Kurti Government constantly aims to bring improvements step by step by addressing the problems in a systematic way and moving towards long-term solutions. For this, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi offered the contribution of the staff he has at his disposal to complement the work of the institutions, helping to advance this process.
