The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted in a meeting the United Kingdom Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Sir Stuart Peach.
In this meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized the continuous commitment and constructiveness, since the beginning of the mandate, in the normalization of relations with Serbia, with a focus on the mutual recognition-centred final agreement. Further, Mr. Bislimi informed Sir Stuart Peach of the energy situation in the north as well as the energy situation in Kosovo in general, for which Mr. Peach extended his availability to assist where possible, given the general crisis gripping Europe.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that for Kosovo, the United Kingdom has been and keeps remaining a powerful ally and their involvement in the important processes the country is going through is positive for us as a country. Mr. Peach emphasized that the United Kingdom will support Kosovo from its position, especially within the NATO alliance.
