Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi hosted in a meeting Australia’s non-resident charge d’affaires, Andrea Biggi

The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development, and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the non-resident charge d’affaires of Australia, Andrea Biggi.

The meeting discussed the Euro-Atlantic integration of Kosovo, the war in Ukraine, energy, security, development, the green agenda and climate change policies.

Both sides reaffirmed their condemnation of Russian aggression and unwavering support for Ukraine. The Deputy Prime Minister said that Kosovo has coordinated its foreign policy with Western partners, has imposed sanctions on Russia and has shown readiness to host Ukrainian refugees.

Mr. Biggi expressed Australia’s support for Kosovo and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations. He also unveiled substantial and ambitious new policies to drive the economic transition to zero emissions, emphasizing that Australia is a reliable and sustainable supplier of its own energy and resources.

Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked him for the visit and the friendly conversation which will further strengthen relations and cooperation between our countries.
