Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi held the regular meeting with civil society organizations

The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, held the regular meeting with civil society organizations for November.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi said that this is the 6th sectorial meeting in a row and it has been invited to be held for the field of economy as a result of requests from organizations to discuss this topic. “This field at the same time also contains the priorities of the work plan for the Government, therefore the consultations with the civil society on topics related to this scope are important for the formulation of policies and their implementation”, said Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi.

Our cooperation is based on good faith and mutual commitment to reforms, regular participation of both parties, regular and comprehensive cooperation as well as concretization in specific sectorial areas.

The priorities derived from the European Reform Agenda were also discussed such as: the increase of employment and general well-being and the continuation of the fight against informality.

Accordingly, it was discussed about taking measures for active employment through the schemes foreseen in the Economic Revival Package, increasing employment and strengthening the rights of workers by encouraging the inclusion of women, minorities and persons with disabilities in the labor market, the implementation of Youth Employment Action Plan aimed at integrating young people into the labor market, supporting the private sector in order to ease the economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and stimulate economic recovery, social benefits for the groups most affected by the crisis , strengthening the Labor Inspectorate, combating the informal economy with a focus on undeclared work, combating tax evasion, tax avoidance and expanding the tax base.

The last sectorial meeting for this year is expected to be held in December, for the field of energy.
