The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, participated in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of another new nursery school, this time in Prishtina.
“Education is our priority, especially the development of early education. Pre-school education is crucial for the success of children and young people in further education and in their professional life, especially,” said Prime Minister Kurti and added that investments like this one today and others to come are necessary and very welcome for our country and for our society.
He said that he is very happy that a new nursery school is being added to this neighbourhood of Prishtina and to Prishtina as the capital. The people and especially our little ones are what give life and vitality to this city, and the dedication and commitment of each of us should be addressed especially to them, added the Prime Minister.
The nursery, which is starting construction works today, will have an area of 1300 square meters and will accommodate 120 children of the capital. The two-story building will have five rooms for children, three bedrooms for children, kitchen, dining room, doctor’s room, psychologist’s room, administration, and technical space. The investment amounts to 743 thousand euros.
During the month of October, four cornerstones of education facilities were laid; the cornerstone of the school in Ponoshec of Gjakova and of the kindergartens in Miresh of Gjilan, in Gjakova and today in Pristina. Next, it is planned to lay the cornerstone of the kindergarten in Podujevë, to continue then with works in other municipalities, such as in Prizren, Suharekë, Obiliq, Skenderaj, Pejë, Ferizaj, Shtime and Malishevë.

I can say that the month of October is ending good with the laying of the foundation stone of the nursery school in Prishtina, here between “Kolovica” and “Kodra e Trimave” in the “Fusha e Pajtimit”.
Let us welcome each other at this valuable event.
Last week we laid the foundation stone of the construction of the school in Ponoshec of Gjakova and the foundation stone of the nursery in Gjakova. However, before that, we laid the foundation stone for the construction of the nursery in the village of Miresh in Gjilan.
Today we are in Prishtina. We will continue such work in other municipalities as well, such as in Prizren, Suharekë, Obiliq, Skenderaj, Pejë, Ferizaj, Shtime, and Malishevë.
My staff has already informed me that next time I will be in Podujevë, Besjanë, from Anamorava to Dukagjin, from one municipality to other municipalities, moving towards the realization of our commitments.
We have allocated the budget for the construction of new nurseries for the next year as well, for 2023.

Its design contains two floors, namely five rooms for children, three bedrooms for children, the kitchen, the dining room, the doctor’s room, the psychologist’s room, the administration, as well as the technical space.
