Prime Minister of Republic of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, reminded the Hostoric President of Kosovo, Dr Ibrahim Rugova, on the occasion of the 72 anniversary of the birth.
During the day, Prime Minister Mustafa, paid homage at the grave of President Rugova and visited Rugova family.
The message of the Prime Minister Mustafa in this case:
Dear citizens of Republic of Kosovo,
On the occasion of the 72 anniversary of the birth, today we proudly commemorate the historical president of Kosovo, Dr Ibrahim Rugova.
Republic of Kosovo and its people express respect for life and the epochal work of President Rugova, who with vision, determination and his leadership led Kosovo towards realization of the goals for freedom, independence and democracy.
As the founder of the state of Kosovo and the architect of independence, Ibrahim Rugova became the symbol of the resistance of the citizens of Kosovo, having the support of all people of Kosovo, intellectual elite, patriots and Western democratic world.
The Government of Kosovo as all people of goodwill in Kosovo are committed to strengthening the independent state, to deepen the friendship with the United States as well as full integration into NATO and the European Union, the value of state and democratic principles represented and promoted by President Rugova.
