The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has held its regular meeting, the 84th in a row.
The first decision approved in today’s meeting is the decision to amend and supplement the Legislative Program of 2022, to which are added: Draft Law on amending and supplementing Law no. 06 / L -046 on the Education Inspectorate in the Republic of Kosovo, the Draft Law on Energy Performance in Buildings, the Draft Law on Spatial Planning, and the Draft Law on Health Inspections.
Approval from the Government Cabinet was received by the Draft Law on Ratification of the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Swiss Confederation.
The Regulation on coordination between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo for Humanitarian Demining has been approved.
The Government has also approved the decision by which the Kosovo Agency of Statistics from the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers is transferred to the Office of the Prime Minister.
The amendment and supplementation of the Government Decision on the nomination of representatives of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in the Consultative Council for Communities was also approved.
With the primary purpose of consumer protection, as well as protection of competition, after the review, the Administrative Instruction for regulating the prices of petroleum products and renewable fuels and other protective measures was approved.
With the proposal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, the decision was approved to propose to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo the ratification of the international member in the State Quality Council of the Kosovo Accreditation Agency.
The Government has allocated twenty thousand seven hundred and twenty one euros (20,721.00) for fulfilling the annual contribution of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for 2022 in the Regional Center of the Regional Initiative for Migration, Asylum and Refugees based in Skopje.
In order to make the Foreigners Complaints Commission functional, it was approved to amend and supplement the Government decision on the appointment of members of this Commission.
The Government has reallocated three million euros to the Ministry of Local Government Administration for the implementation of twenty-five (25) capital projects in accordance with the memoranda of understanding signed by the Minister of MLGA, mayors and donors.
The decision for drafting the Spatial Plan of Kosovo and the Spatial Plan for the National Park “Sharri” has been approved by the Government, according to the proposal of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure.
The preliminary decision for expropriation for public interest of immovable properties which are located within the Location of Gjakova Airport, has received the approval of the Government in today’s meeting. These expropriations are made for the needs of the realization of the infrastructure projects of the Ministry of Defense.
At today’s meeting, the National Strategy Against Trafficking in Human Beings in Kosovo 2022-2026 and the Action Plan 2022-2024 were approved.
Following the approval of strategic documents by the Government, the Action Plan of the Strategy for Forestry Development 2022-2030 has been approved.
Four initiatives for negotiation of international agreements were approved, on the proposal of the Office of the Prime Minister:
– Initiative for concluding a Bilateral Development Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg;
– Initiative for a Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Kosovo and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for the implementation of the Bilateral Agreement on Development Cooperation;
– Initiative for Amendment 2. of the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union for the IPA 2015 Program;
– Initiative for amendment 2. of the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union for the IPA 2018 Program.
As part of the Reform of the criminal, civil and administrative justice system, the Concept Document on the Establishment of the Confiscation Fund was adopted. The drafting of the concept document aims to fight organized crime and corruption, use confiscated assets for social reuse to compensate victims of crime and to build professional capacity in the field of confiscation.
In today’s meeting, the Ministry of Local Government Administration informed the Government Cabinet about capital investments worth one (1) million euros, in the project “Support for infrastructure projects for communities in the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo”.
On the proposal of the Minister of Justice, the decision for the use of confiscated assets for the needs of central or local institutions was approved.
The decision to appoint the Board of the Health Insurance Fund was approved.
