Meetings for free movement continue today in Brussels

Brussels, 8 September 2016

The Republic of Kosovo delegation led by Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, held talks yesterday on the issue of free movement, namely reciprocity in vehicle registration plates which is provided with the free movement agreement of 2011.

Talks on this subject, which continue today, have started at ten o’clock in the morning to try to reach agreement on the implementation of reciprocity in vehicle registration plates between the two countries as provided by the 2011 agreement.

Yesterday evening, Minister Tahiri held a meeting with Director for Western Europe and the Western Balkans in the EEAS, Angelina Eichhorst, where in the tripartite composition is evaluated the situation in the implementation of the agreements and requested acceleration of the process.
Because negotiations to free movement are continuing today, meeting to implement the agreement on Cadastre will not be held and it is postponed for another round of dialogue in Brussels.

And during the day meeting will take place on the implementation of the agreement on mutual recognition of diplomas between the two countries with the EU mediation.

We inform public opinion that the topic of the association is not on the agenda of the meetings and will not be discussed about this subject, so information that came from some Serbian media with regard to this issue are untrue. As you have been informed in the press earlier in this round of negotiations in Brussels will be just four topics: freedom of movement, diplomas, cadastre and telephone code and depending on the flows we will keep you informed.
