Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi holds a meeting in Brussels with the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Štefan Füle

Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi began an official visit to Brussels, where he met the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Štefan Füle.
 
In the meeting, they discussed current developments in Kosovo and the region, the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to fulfill completely all European standards and criteria for integration, and a special emphasis on discussing the start of visa liberalization dialogue for Kosovo’s citizens and contractual relations between Kosovo and the EU.
 
In the meeting today in Brussels with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Štefan Füle, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi re-emphasized the on-going and consistent commitment of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and all Kosovar institutions to fulfilling the European integration agenda, focusing on the implementation of comprehensive reforms in politics, the economy and legislation.
 
In Prime Minister Thaçi’s meeting with Commissioner Füle he noted that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo have fulfilled all criteria regarding the initiation of visa liberalization dialogue and rightly expect this process to start in the coming days. In this context, Prime Minister Thaçi welcomed the position presented by the EU Council of Ministers to support the start of visa liberalization dialogue for Kosovo.
 
The EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Štefan Füle praised highly the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to fulfilling the European integration agenda and reconfirmed that Kosovo has a European perspective.
 
Mr. Füle was particularly positive about the commitment of Kosovo’s institutions to dialogue over technical issues between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia. With this vision, said Mr. Füle, the Government has proven once again its European orientation and vision.
