Prime Minister Thaçi: Proposal for additional dialogue is an outdated idea, completely unacceptable and unfeasible for Kosovo

Prishtina, 26.11.2011

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo responded today to the question related to a new proposal by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Carl Bildt, who asked for another two rounds of discussions on the north of Kosovo.

Prime Minister Thaçi called this idea as outdated and unacceptable.

“Kosovo was engaged in dialogue for its political status with the international community for three years in Vienna. The independence of Kosovo has been declared in close coordination with the European Union and the United States of America. Kosovo has now consolidated and is strengthening every day as a state. Sweden too was part of these negotiations on the political status and it has recognized Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state. Therefore this is an outdated idea, completely unacceptable for Kosovo and unfeasible,” said Prime Minister Thaçi.
