In the first official meeting with the new ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Kosovo, Sabri Tunç Angili, the first deputy prime minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, wished the ambassador welcome and success in his duties, pointing out the excellent cooperation relations between Kosovo and Turkey.
The ambassador expressed gratitude for the hospitality in Kosovo and emphasized the deep gratitude for the help and solidarity that came from the Republic of Kosovo to the Turkish people in the case of the powerful earthquake that hit Turkey.
In this meeting, they discussed the possibilities of deepening bilateral relations, especially in the economy, where there is great potential in increasing the cooperation between our two countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi also spoke about Kosovo’s strategic objectives, such as membership in the Council of Europe, the journey towards the European Union, the completion of the visa liberalization process and the application to the Partnership for Peace in NATO.
The parties emphasized the importance and need for stability, peace and security in the Western Balkans region and also discussed the dialogue process.
